Twitter Spaces

This one was a fun project. We did a big fancy shoot in L.A., then edited it in a week or so. There was an entire scene we had to cut out at the last minute. I’ll tell you about if we ever go for drinks.

Behind the Meme

Usher

This one was difficult to edit. Not because of anything Usher did…

Actually yeah, it was because of stuff Usher did. During the interview he waxed philosophical about his time in the music industry, how far he’d come, where he was heading, and the people that helped him along the way. It was great.

Dez Hester and I had convos about how it was a sin to cut stuff like that out, and we fought to keep it in. Then some people got mad because the cut was too long. They told us that Gen Z can’t watch anything longer than 30 seconds or so, and that Twitter had business to get down to. After all, we’re here to talk about memes.

Usher talking about that time he became a meme.
